Do credit analysis companies talk to each other and are your accounts linked?

Options
Hello,

I started a membership with Experian to see my credit report after being rejected for credit. There was lots of missing information - namely missing addresses and being on the electoral roll. I have since changed and added the information and the report now looks like an accurate representation of my credit history.

I have just opened an account with Equifax as I am about to apply for credit again and I am worried that I face the same issue as it looks like its missing similar information and it doesn't look like I can add information to this account unlike Experian.

Do the big credit companies share information across the accounts?

As far as I'm aware they don't share data with each other. They usually obtain their information from the lenders who report data to them.

So if you updated your address with a lender, that lender would usually report the change to the CRAs they report your data to and the CRA would then include that data in their own records.

That's how it works as far as I'm aware.
    What will your verse be?

Yeah that's what i imagined, they are competing against each other afterall! Shame as i reckon it'll make things more consistent if they did.
