We have the two sizes of TFT with shift control, not the full touch control.

Thanks. It was the scrolling of the timeline on the full touch control that was the straw that broke the camels back for me. Hopefully the shift control is a little less complex, but I'm not swayed enough to stick with these current Neff products.

  • I bought all AEG appliances, mostly touchscreen and I dont rate them at all.

The Combi Micro Oven - I just cant work out how to use the timer quickly and easily - let alone explain it to my wife, hence we've still kept and use the old panasonic microwave !

The main oven, I had to have repaired several times, as when the oven door was opened, steam/heat went upwards and actually operated the touch screen panel and changed the settings! Eventually they replaced it with another new one and touch wood - its been ok since.

Other gripes being - the top of the range dishwasher with electronic controls - doesnt remember the last program you used and therefore you have to scoll (slowly) every time to the program you want - Autosense - now wouldnt you just put that program first!

    I wouldnt but AEG again!
  • I've purchased the slide and hide oven last year and the combination oven/microwave, I'm on my second set of handles to both ovens as the Neff logo keeps coming off, does anyone else have this problem?? Also the combi oven is a nightmare to use, most of the time you cant switch it on and have wipe the sensor on button with a damp cloth then dry it then switch it on. I would not recommend any of these ovens to anyone, Neff as a gesture of goodwill have replaced the handles twice, but as for the switching on they say everyone's moisture content of your finger tips differ s and this could be the reason why they don't switch on, there's 4 people in our house and everyone has the same problem, the combi is simply not fit for purpose!!

I share your views on not recommending Neff ovens - ours has been a constant problem, and you'll find frequent online comments about temperature control issues.

They're designed by Neff primarily to allow people to reheat bought-in food in the UK, because that, apparently, is what we do.

For anyone who want actually to cook in an oven - get a Miele.

I needed a new oven and decided to get a Neff again, but a pyrolytic one this time. I was horrified at the new 2015 range. The control is a joke, but also the shelf rails are far too thin and do not support the shelves properly. I believe this is so that they do not need to be removed to run the pyrolytic cleaning programme.

Incredibly fortunately for me, there weren't any in stock anywhere. The couple of dealers I spoke to (including John Lewis) said that there were rumours that the whole line had been recalled because of various flaws.

I was very lucky to be able to find a 2014 version instead - decent controls, and sturdy shelf rails. A far superior oven to the newer one. Amazing that Neff have taken a step backwards in their new range.
