Ok,
But do you suggest I travel to Italy via the French Coast line? Then starting at the top of Italy and making my way down South? Then the ferry across to Croatia?peachyprice wrote: »
TBH, if you can't even decide the first leg of the trip yourself and can't work out train routes and itineraries you're really going to struggle with interrailing. If you haven't bought the ticket yet I would suggest you reconsider. Interrailing is not for timid travellers who can't plan simple trips.Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0 -
It's only the 1st part of the trip that is stressing out.
Getting from Barca to Italy, visiting the main cities and the Amalfi Coast then moving onto my next destination.
If I travel to Italy via the French coast line where would you reccomed I stop over to break the journey up?0 -

I've just planned a week travelling between Granada, Seville and Cordoba which was hard enough but the seat61website was really helpful in deciphering overseas train websites and rules and regs.0

Cue OP's next question 'how do I get from Bordeaux to Italy'
Personally I did Bordeaux on the way down: London, Paris, Bordeaux, Lisbon, Sagres (when it was just a bus stop and a bar), Barcelona, Nice and onwards............
What a summer that was

Forget itinerary and just go with the flow.l I went inter-railing when I was 20 (25 yrs ago).. I went with a plan but threw it away after the first day. The feeling of freedom just hopping on and off trains and waking up in a different country each day cannot be described. And that was in the day of different currencies for each country.
You will meet people on the way who will recommend different places and I ended up in the Arctic Circle watching the Northern Lights.. Enjoy and just relax.. What's the rush, you will get there eventually! Thanks to all who post here:beer:0
