PPi claim claim from 1992

Hi

I have found some old paperwork by luck from 4 loans I had taken out starting in 1992. At least 3 of these show I had taken out PPi, am I still able to claim and what would my chances be, anyone advice would be great

You need to find out who sold it to you - and possibly who the insurer was.

However, in 1992, general insurance was not subject to statutory regulation and unless they were a member of one of the insurance, banking or building societies ombudsman schemes they need not answer a complaint.

Hi , like you I found paper work for old loans , one was from Masterloan for £4000 taken out in 1995 that I couldn't even remember having.
I wrote a letter covering all the points that I thought it was not suitable for me eg my employment package for ill health , the fact it wasn't explained to me etc etc.
I photocopied all the paper work I could find and sent it off to Barclays.
Got a payment for £1893 2 weeks later in their words " A good will payment "
I have also put 2 more in to the Halifax taken out in 2000 and 2003 , they sent me their forms to fill in and I'm still waiting to hear from them but it's only been 3 weeks. I'm hoping I'm going to be lucky with them also.
My advice would be give it a go . nothing ventured nothing gained.
