Nero: which files do I need?

I'm trying to clear some space on my drive and notice some of the largest are Nero files. I think some of these are necessary to copy to a removable DVD disc, but I guess many are unnecessary. Running CC that there are many duplicate files in Nero but I'm reluctant to get rid in case it searches in a particular directory and can't find a file. I do backup the drive, but isn't that a windows program?

they're pretty small fry in all honesty... clear out old restore points/shadow copies, turn off Hibernate/sleep and bin the hiberfil.sys file... you'll save several GB not just a few hundred MB...
