I downloaded Injutice Gods Amoung Us and Infamous First Light, 2 games I would have bought anyway :)

Those were probably the only 2 major games given away on PS4. Even the PS3 and PS Vita Plus games are crap now. It's all Indie 8 bit nonsense.

...... and selling my brand new PS4

    Bought PS4 and i don't like it!

The unit is quite big and sticks out of my cabinet

dont keep any game console in a cabinet, it voids the warranty. this is because they can over heat in an enclosed space.

When will the "Edit" and "Quote" button get fixed on the mobile web interface?

the sides and top may slow down the heat escaping. anyway if you ever need to take advantage of the warranty never say you kept it in a cabinet. just say on the floor in front of the tv.

Definitely, even on a hard surface is worse because that low down it's more likely to pick up more dust which will cause cooling problems as it builds up on the fans and the heathens plus there's more chance of vibration through the chassis which can cause hard drive issues.

There's nothing wrong with using the consoles in cabinets as long as the consoles are not stacked with other equipment, the cabinet isn't sealed (open front and back) and there is some open space around the console. I used to have to do a lot of console rma's and never been asked if the console was used in a cabinet never mind had a warranty refused for it nor seen the same for anyone else and there were plenty of rma's thanks to the xbox rrod and to a less degree the ylod on the ps3.

i am pretty sure i remember it becoming known with the xbox rrod that when you took advantage of the 3 year extension they brought in they asked you where you stored it and if you said in a cabinet they said tough. i know they asked me when i used the service. yes consoles can collect dust on the floor but really they will collect dust no matter where they are kept.

They will collect more on the floor, it stands to reason that when it settles it will drop to the floor.
