Good morning all,
BB belated birthday wishes, I hope you had a lovely day.
Hester that sounds awful, here's hoping for a speedy return to some normality with your sight.
Very wet here this morning, although we are promised better weather for the weekend. We have been to SM for some fresh meat and a few other things. I think we will be having some young people for lunch over Easter, not sure how many so thought I ought to be prepared. They usually tell me the day before, which I don't mind, and I can always freeze what is left over. I just love to see them, chattering and laughing together and they do love a good roast dinner.
Himself put the Dyson round downstairs, and not much else to do. We will just have a sandwich for lunch and cheese, potato and onion pie with tomatoes and grilled bacon this evening.
Have a good day everyone

Grey and rainy here today, what a difference from yesterday!
I never shop on Good Friday or Easter Sunday, if I haven't got something then I can do without it. I think that is a disgusting commercialisation of a religious holiday.
So today is another lazyish day, I have some knitting to finish and two box sets of videos that I got for my birthday to watch.
DD is at work until 4pm  and DH is going to pick her up, so dinner is at 5pm. We are having roast lamb, runner beans (Still working on last year's crop) carrots roasties and gravy.
I got the lamb in Asda at less than £4 a kilo, but noticed last week that Morries have them at the same price and TBQH the meat from Morries is far superior to Asda's
So I am going to pick another couple up on Saturday and shove them in the freezer. Normally we can't afford lamb, but it is such a good price at the moment so I am going to stock up.
Dessert is a vienetta with raspberries.
Hester ((((Hugs)))) I hope you feel better soon xxx
Right I had better get the lamb in the oven and prepare the veg.
Have a peaceful Good Friday

I got my quiet day, at least until about 3.00p.m. when visitors turned up wet through and soggy after a long walk. Quickly fixed by getting the woodburner going and pouring some malt.
Then we had a takeaway. We set off tomorrow morning for Glasgow and they fly off on Sunday morning very early.
I did some reading and some bank stuff. Nothing much more.:j0
