    Its interesting because they have always cited not having the infrastructure here to supply any potential shops as the reason for not doing it - AND that they hadnt opened all the outlets they had planned on the mainland.

    I would say they will do well here. I'm surprised they are opening on a "trial basis" - cant see any reason why eating habits would be that different to the mainland.

    A lot of the Greggs around city centres are now just fast food outlets , no longer selling bread and cakes, instead just sticking to the hot pies, soups, coffees and sandwiches. The service stations ones are the same

    Applegreen http://applegreenstores.com/ie/locations know what they are doing this being the first of two locations initially in NI, They operate in UK and America and know their market. They have huge passing trade and good fuel prices and value in other outlets at each site will attract custom.
