PrePaid Credit Cards - Canada??

I've been told a PrePaid Credit card is a safe way to spend money abroad, rather than risk your main card. With this card you can top-up when required with a min. amount.

I've been to my bank and post office, but they don't do these cards for Canada, only Euro or US Dollars.

Anyone know of a PrePaid Card that could be used in Canada, apart from getting one when one over there.

It is just as much of a risk using a prepaid card or credit/debit card. They both can be cloned, but if you take precautions you should be fine. I don't know of any prepaid card which is denominated in Canadian $. Prepaid cards are very expensive anyway. I would apply for a Nationwide credit or debit card. These have 0% fees and a good exchange rate.

Today I applied for a Virgin PrePaid Master Card. With this I can put as much on as I wish up to £3000 and where I wish.

If it goes missing I can be sure that they take whats on the card only or I can stop it, if I'm quick and get a replacement still with the value.

You have to pay fees each time you make a purchase with this card.
