Ive just purchased a vhs to dvd recorder as in the title.
Not had chance to read anything about it yet but was hoping someone on here might have the same unit and offer a little help.
I was wondering if you could copy from a vhs tape to the dvd but change the format to AVI rather than DVD. I was maybe thinking in terms of data space on the dvd rather than dvd run time of 2 hours.
Also are there any decent groups on Facebook or forums on the internet that maybe its wise to join for further information or help in this sector.
Cheers

All the big powers they've silenced me. So much for free speech and choice on this fundamental human right, and outing the liars.

I have an 8 year old Panasonic TV and DVD Recorder setup, have always asked questions of the Panasonic Support site: http://www.panasonic.com/uk/support.html
- and received great help, although it may take a few days.I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.

I've always just read the instruction manual. Easily found with google.

No.
If you can spend time watching videos why can't you spend time reading the manual?
Someone even kindly supplied you a link.0 -

Page 74 of the manual I linked to above tells you which discs it will use.
Why on earth are you looking on YouTube?0
