Cant charge laptop

My laptop is broken again, it is only 6 months old and it has already had a hard drive failure which was fixed under warranty.

I was using it earlier and it flashed up that the battery was low so I plugged the charger in. Nothing happened so I unplugged it, that is when I noticed that the pin that is supposed to be inside the laptop was stuck in the charger :mad:

I am really worried that they will not repair it under warranty because I upgraded the RAM a while ago. It has a silver sticker on the bottom which used to say 'warranty void if removed' but the writing disappeared when I lifted it to install the RAM :sad:

I am so annoyed, I have only had the laptop for 6 months and it has spent a month of that time back with Acer. I am also annoyed that I cant backup as there is no charge on the laptop :sad:

Has anyone had this problem before and is it fixable?

Needs a new socket which means it being taken apart - a warranty repair.

Don't worry about the tamper sticker. They're designed to be upgraded and warranty invalidation from opening up PCs has been tested in court and proved to be unenforceable because they're designed to be upgraded - even laptops.
