Skirting board covers....and door frames.

Has anyone ever fitted skirting board covers? Basically I want to replace all the skirting boards in the entire house and covers look like a simpler and easier option....but, what happens when you get to the door frame as the cover will be proud of the door frame as opposed to flush like the original SB...?

Anyone got any experience of these?

Who knew that stuff existed. It's more expensive than skirting board, which is a bit weird.

Do they do architrave covers to make it work around the doors?!

Then if they have architrave covers you would have to have door frame covers and then door stop covers and then door covers. This could really get out of hand!

For the reasons above not a good alteration.
If these covers are plastic you should bear in mind that fitting requires total accuracy as filled voids will always show.

Couldmake someone a lot of money. Or not.

One's liveable space could be half the size once you finish cladding.

It reminds me of a little house I own. When I bought iy, it was like one of them working in B&Q and would just bring home random offcuts of laminate floor and hammer it to stuff. The stairs, the underside of the stairs, the walls, over the existing laminate floor. The house grew once we'd got the crow bar out and removed it all. Very odd.
