A lot of owners prefer saturday to saturday but are normally pretty flexible, especially at this late stage.

Well as this thread is called flight prices gone mad I thought I would post regarding my recent booking for flights next year.

23.05.08 - 06.06.08 from Southampton to Majorca = £1086 for 2 adults 2 children and a baby. From Heathrow at a better time of the day the cost was only £483!!

For an hours drive up the road I am more than happy to pocket the £600
It's far better to be penny wise than pound foolish.

It is not uncommon for the scheduled airlines to offer better prices and timings. I have found that it works out about 50/50 between schedule and charter when booking within a few days of departure. And normally the scheduled have always been at sensible times rather than early morning or late night.
