Ebay vague mails

Just received this...anyone got the same? Another example of ebay's pitiful customer care, they dont even mention which item(s) are delayed!
Dear jigginjim,
We want to let you know that we had a technical glitch and your item may arrive up to 2 working days later than suggested.
We dedicate ourselves to providing the best online shopping experience, but we recognise that we’ve not delivered that this Easter.
Please rest assured that the glitch is now fixed and the robots have been reprimanded.
Kind regards,
The eBay Team

I was about to post the same thing - the blame the Robots email, right?
Are they hinting to expected delays due to Easter?0 -
Looks that way doesn't it! I bought an item last Saturday and have had no information regarding dispatch time etc, so I can only assume the technical glitch involves informing sellers that items have been paid for.0

The email is being sent to anyone who purchased whilst the estimated delivery timings were under the glitch.01 April, 2015 | 05:10PM BST
Hello,
We’ve fixed a technical issue which meant that Easter Bank Holiday dates were not being taken into account when estimated delivery dates were calculated.
Any defects, like for ‘item not received’ requests on eBay.co.uk, low detailed seller ratings (DSRs) and/or negative/neutral feedback that we determine were a result of this issue will be removed weekly using an automated process in line with the eBay Defect Removal Policy on eBay.ie and eBay.co.uk. In this particular case, there is no requirement for the seller to have sent the item using a tracked service.
Regards
The eBay Team

***Original: Technical Issue: Easter Delivery Dates***

We are aware of a technical issue which means that Easter Bank Holiday dates are not being taken into account when estimated delivery dates are calculated.
We’re working to solve this problem and apologise for any inconvenience.

Link to this announcement | Back to topI've got an update for you on what we're doing to let your customers know about this technical issue.
This morning we're emailing all UK buyers who ordered an item which had a delivery date quoted for the Easter weekend and a day or two after. We're letting them know there was a techical glitch and their items will arrive around 2 working days after the date quoted. The message will go out via email and eBay messages so buyers know it's genuine. It will take a few hours for the message to be processed and show in inboxes.
It means that there's no need for you to contact buyers yourself to let them know, unless you want to, of course.
The CS team is also aware that we're sending this message to buyers.
Please be aware that we're unable to change the estimated delivery dates which appear on the following for orders placed in the last week:
Order confirmation automated email
Item dispatched automated email
View Order Details page (desktop and mobile)
We know it's not ideal, but hope that today's email will help buyers to understand that their item will arrive later than the dates quoted on eBay.

I've just had this too... I thought it was a spam/phishing thing at first but the email looks like it's legitimately from eBay.
Confused as I ordered something the other day but have already had notice from the seller that it's dispatched so don't understand why I'm noe bwing told it could be late?
Perhaps because they're kept the delivery indicative time the same as when it's not a bank holiday weekend?
Who knows! Ridiculously lazy, and as you say, vague email though!0 -

Read my post above, it explains why you've had it and is nothing to do with the dispatch.0 -
Theyve probably forgot to include easter as non post days and this is their technical jargon for saying so0

...its only another eBay c0ck up!!0 -

Yep, this is why you got the email. Because ebay are stupid and quote deliveries on Good Friday and Bank Holiday Monday, also there are no shortage of buyers who believe these impossible estimates.0
