Excel Parking Services fine-should I pay?

I will keep this long story short, hope someone can help-I got a parking ticket a few months ago which i appealed and lost.I have since had the debt passed to Rossendales from Excel parking services and am now worried that I should pay as the letter has red writing all over it saying it is in my interest to deal with this matter immediately. They have now added another £30 admin fee to the debt now totalling £130.
Does anyone know what will happen if i dont pay-I am 19 years old with not much money and all my friends and other internet searches have been telling me to ignore this companys demands and that they cannot enforce this debt-is that true,I'm worried as dont want the bailiffs coming to my mums door!!
Thanks

Aaaargh no, not RED WRITING!!!!
Almost certainly nothing will happen. Rossendales is a poxy debt collector with no powers whatsoever and should be ignored completely.
Excel does occasionally try suing people over its fake parking fines but the number of cases it brings is vanishingly small compared to the number of fake fines it issues.
Ignore everything unless you get a real letter before claim from Excel or their solicitors, or real, stamped court papers (which is very, very unlikely).
Bailiffs will not come to your door.Je suis Charlie.0 -
Debt collectors have very little powers, their really just paid to make contact with assumed debtors but it's really just a service so that Excel (or anyone else seeking money from another party) don't have to pick up the phone or pen a letter themselves, also in the hope that the term "Debt Collector" will present some form of credential or authority beyond just asking to be paid. But that's all debt collectors can do - ASK for payment, no powers of enforcement.0

no bailiffs will come to the door unless a court case happens, you lose, you dont pay the judgment, then a CCJ is ussed
only then can bailiffs be instructed
I dont think you understand these legal processes at all, so are scared by the tv programmes which tend to be about council penalties or cases AFTER A COURT CASE HAS HAPPENED
do some research and wise up0 -
Redx-thanks I will,I'm 19 so probably not as wise as you,but there's time yet-haha,thanks everyone for the advice,I will do some more research.0
