Thursday 2nd April - what small DFW things will you do today?

BB - I use them for lots of things. Today I gave £2 to my son towards his pocket money of £6. Bus fares. Groceries. Or save them up for a treat for us. If I had any staff I would not take the tips as I don't believe they would be for me then. Never used to.
FVD - thank you. If I see Suralan anywhere near my place I'll blame youwe do have a few slebs but I treat them the same as everyone else.
Foxgloves - you always buy lovely things for your relatives. Thorntons yum! I have my eye on a large caramel egg this year. Have dropped enough hints to Mr Bob. Here's hoping" Your vibe attracts your tribe":D

Evening everyone, a lovely day weatherwise, however, it's forecast rain tomorrow
Hope you're all well? Fatvon - I have a confession to make, I always use the pre-made pastry rolls! I used to make my own - my short crust was OK, but all others were pretty poor, so I came to the conclusion that life was too short to worry about pastry. Plus I hated clearing the mess afterwards too - much quicker and cleaner out of a roll!
My MSE list for today:
All meals from stores - appetite almost back to normal now
Got a little Easter egg from work colleagues (DH and DD have eaten it between them!)
Got some free samples from work to try out (bakeware/ovenware items)
Have swapped one of my days off next week to cover for one of my sick days earlier this week and will continue to work over to make up the other (really don't want any less in the wage packet if it can be helped)
Worked an hour over today (see above)
Took DD swimming - funded out of spending money allocated for my week off. Had a great time and it was really quiet too.
Dinner was leftover chilli from yesterday and another 3 portions have gone into the freezer.
Checked bank
Updated YNAB
Made an overpayment of just over £150 on CC (can't wait for the next statement to update signature)
Two loads of washing done on economy cycle, some drying on radiators.
Made a meal plan and shopping list for the upcoming week - not much to buy for dinners, but will need extra bits for lunches as we'll be eating at home or (fingers crossed) having picnics.
Turned alarm off for tomorrow - it feels so good not having to get up to an alarm
As it's not forecasted great tomorrow, I had a look at our local cinema to see what films are out - unfortunately, the discounted kids AM film wasn't of interest. So, I had a look at the price to see a new release - £8.50 adult and £6.30 child!!! Needless to say, we will not be going to the pictures tomorrow! I don't know how they can justify the prices?

BIB, my DH would agree with you! I love eating raw pastry (when I was a kid my mum would give me the offcuts when she sliced them off around the edge of the pie) and many an evening if DH is fancying something sweet I'll offer to make him jam tarts so I can eat the leftover pastry but he always moans about the mess!

Who knows what the problem with the boiler was, think it was low in pressure, but unsure as when I tried to top it up nothing happened to the dial, so that may be faulty.Fashion on a ration 2025 0/66 coupons spent

Evening all
I have spent most of the day in bed as I ave been hot/cold and had a dreadful headache all day, so not much has been achieved
Having said that, I haven't been anywhere to spend anything
I do feel a bit better now though, and will stay up for a while and maybe do a few (quiet) jobs that won't wake OH or the neighbours.
I will:
Check banks
Find a notebook in my stash to list my sales stock and the price paid for each item
Sort dishwasher out (not too noisy)
Think of something for dinner tomorrow and get it out of the freezer. OH had leftovers tonight, and I had scrambled egg on toast, as that is all I fancied
Start a shopping list
Sorry to hear about the filming having fallen through Bob, but hopefully other opportunities will come up as a result of their interest
Hoping to be back to normal tomorrow!0
