Give her something to suck on for the take-off & landing eg bottle, lollypop, as the pressure change can hurt babies ears and swallowing will help.0

As other have said, take food, toys, drinks, extra nappies and wipes, extra clothes for ALL of you. Also sachets of calpol, just in case.
You also will probably not get your pushchair back after the flight until you pick up your baggage, so take a sling, cloth is smallest so you have your hands free.
If you have a iPad/tablet load it with cartoons and CBeebies games but to be honest the safety card and the different surroundings keep them entertained.

My main tip would be to try and ensure that your baby is really tired when you get on board, so at least she will be asleep for part of the flight. Otherwise, as others have said, plenty of distractions in the way of toys etc. We always took a couple of new toys for extra interest. I have to say that my worst ever flights were when my sons were around 18 months old. A combination of them being too young to reason with, and them not wanting to sit for long on our laps, made for a couple of flights I'd rather not remember!0

Lots of snacks / treats.
Ipad / tablet with cartoons.
Relaxed attitude. Your baby might well be noisy / cry at some stage and that might bother a few people, but really what can you do? Thats life, we've all been crying babies at some point and you'll be doing your best. So dont let it get to you.

We flew with ours at various ages
Eldest at 10 months for 4 hr flight was easy.
Eldest at 14 months for 2 hour flight absolute nightmare.
Eldest 2 yrs 10m, and youngest 14 months 4 hour flight again a nightmare.
Those two flights we took books and toys and they got bored.
The hubby took the eldest at 4 years to see hubby's grandfather in Greece and he said it was easy with her, hubby Downloaded movies from the iPad store thing and offline games to the iPad for her. This kept her busy for the whole flight.
We've done the same on long train journeys and it has worked on them as well. As a result He would recommend a tablet with plenty of child friendly apps.0 -
First flight we took our then 15 month old on was to NZ...
The reality was far better than I imagined it to be. This was in pre Ipad days too!
Be prepared with new books - don't forget stickers are a favourite, so get some cheap sticker books from tesco so they can stick them onto a new piece of paper. Mini aquadoodles were in our bag. and a couple of toys wrapped up - exciting times opening presents!
Take more nappies than you think you'll need and a change or 2 of clothes too - DS had a pooey leak - not nice. We did lots of walking around the airplane after the seatbelt sign was turned off - which meant lots of people giving him attention.
Just roll with it - you'll be fine. Have a fab holiday.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
