Anyone bank with halifax that gets paid on a thursday? (ESA)

What are people doing, watching their bank account online in the middle of the night?
I presume it is on line and that they aren't out in their nightclothes at the nearest ATM!!!

Why?

It's not as though that you can go shopping at that ridiculous hour.

Do you stay up all night waiting for the deposit to hit the bank?

Thankfully I am well asleep at midnight along with most normal people.
And yes my wife has her private account with the Halifax - her State Pension went in overnight - I found out when I logged on after breakfast - 10am!

I was watching mine online yes because I was in A&E at the time and I didn't know if I would need to pay for a taxi home. Thankfully my partner came and collected me so I didn't need to. So in my case it was actually kind of an emergency- I certainly didn't want to be in A&E at 1am!! But some people's medical conditions mean they don't sleep so well so that might be why they're online watching their bank accounts.

someone people rely on ESA its all they get unlike certain people who get the maximum benefit they can get there hands on DLA/PIP MOBILITY CAR BLUE BADGE HOUSING BENEFIT COUNCIL TAX BENEFIT ECT ECT
