Deafness

Just a quick query really.

I'm deaf and I wear two hearing aids. I've never received any sort of benefit for deafness but someone told me I should apply. what I was wondering is, is it worth even trying?

It's not about the diagnosis, it's about any extra care and support needs that arise out of it.
You may find information relevant to you on here.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
  • Might not be the kind of benefit you were thinking of, but you'll be eligible to apply for a Disabled Person's Railcard, and you may also qualify for a free bus pass:

I have no idea, but as I too am deaf with two hearing aids (for which I spend too much time replacing the piddling little filters and batteries) I would like to know how you get on with being diagnosed by the DWP as being disabled.
Not that I intend making a claim, I just want to add it to my ever growing number of life changing conditions to keep my files up to date.
