would cheap energy club still save me money if my readings from month to month are?

I decided to go through the sign up process for cheap energy club. When it came to input my usage I went into both my gas, and electricity accounts, and firstly the usage history is displayed in 3 month chunks not month to month. Secondly due to both my mum and I being people with health problems our usage varies wildly from each of those 3 month chunks.

So could the cheap energy club still save us money even with wildly different usage from month to month?

Also one thing we would want in regards to the gas is the option of a service contract we currently have one with our current supplier British Gas as having the hot water is important.

You should just put in your typical annual usage - with your varying usage it (I assume) is still high so you will not gain from flitting over summer. You may want to check each fuel on a separate tariff as there may be savings there.

There is no need for a service contract for your boiler - contact a plumber if it breaks down. It isn't going to be any slower and is likely to be far cheaper (as little as zero pounds for years on end.)

Its the tariff costs you look at not some estimated direct debit .Unit charge of 4p is cheaper than 5p etc .

    Hi Philipsaveer

The posts from Nada666 and JJ Egan should help you with this - I'd agree, if your usage fluctuates as you describe, it is definitely best to provide you usage over the course of a year (ideally in kwh as this is more accurate than providing your DD figure).

Just add the 4 (3 month) blocks together and you will have 1 years worth of usage.
