    Hi,

I looked into this a bit, and have realised you wouldnt often get the *fee*,
Its for situations when you know something will bounce or be paid and put you over your od, It means if you call up the day before and ask for help to cover those items they will put the amount (discretionary)into your acct and then the *help* they give you comes at a price.

I didnt realise until it was too late that i had charges, because of busy work life, so i would never have asked for help in time.

Its just dressing up charges differently.

    maybe im wrong?!?!!?

  • Does anybody know if the situation of calling this a service fee and not a penalty charge make it unable to reclaim
  • I'm not sure that them wording it differently would impress the judges much...what they are doing is essentially the same thing as before? I'm guessing that it could be a tactic to mean that if (when, I hope!) they lose the current case, they can start the process all over again saying that the new wording makes it different?

I would hope that the courts would see through this as a clear attempt to disguise penalty charges.
  • So as an Abbey customer i can CLAIM back all charges from 6 years ago?
    end the tv tax
  • If you ran your account better you would not have any to claim back.
