X Partner on my Equifax Report

Over 10 Years ago my x-partner and I had a joint account..

I've recently have done a search and he is still on there through this 'joint account'.

Four years ago I tried to close the account but was told they needed him to sign.. BUT I cant be closed because my X Partner is NOT willing to sign..!!!

I have been in contact with the bank which hey tell me the best thing to do is to leave the account dormant!!

Any Thoughts?

    Contact each CRA and register a disassociation from them.

    Speak to the bank again. If there is no outstanding debt on the account then one signatory should be able to close or remove themselves from the account. If they will not do it then raise a formal complaint.
