Wednesday 1st April - what small DFW things will you do today?

xJOJOx_2
When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and canceling Sky and the gym.
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important

Morning all
Thanks for starting us off Jojo.
Woke up at 4am again, and with a cold
So far I have fed the animals and checked the banks. I have put the heating on for a while as well, as it is freezingWhen will we get a nice warm day?
Might sneak back to bed later, but must do the following at some point today:
Put bread machine on (in a minute) as no bread left
Take some more items to sales unit, walk there if I feel like it, and there isn't too much to carry, to save fuel and get some free exercise
Pay in a cheque while I am out
HM meals from stores - not a NSD though as I will need to buy more tissues and paracetamol  I will try the new branch of Savers that has opened in town, see what they are like. Our Superdrug closed down unfortunately (I quite like Superdrug) and this Savers store opened in its place.
Clean upstairs if I feel better later
Most unexciting list todayBetter get that bread machine on!
Hope everyone has a good day

Hello and good morning to everyone else
Still pretty windy here in the NW. We didn't have our planned dinner last night as OH was desperate to go out for tea. I did mention the whole thing about Saturday to him and the results were not good. Without hashing over too much detail, he seems to be entering a bad period health-wise, after having about 6 weeks of a good period. This makes it very difficult for him to see things objectively. His concerns about asking to pay for our own stuff appear to be based around a fear of upsetting everyone and making their lives difficult, being laughed at by his brother and everyone thinking we are poor and it's his fault.
Anyhoo, here's today's little list- B/L/D from stores - done
- Charge phone in work - done
- Check online banking and reconcile spreadsheet (did very well at this last month) - done
- Took gas and elec readings. I have been doing this since the new windows went in. We had been using about 26% more gas than last year (OH at home in the day, colder weather and keeping house generally warmer). Since the windows went in we have been using about 20% more, so a 6% drop
- done
- Bit of housework. OH claimed to have done some yesterday but either he didn't or it was very poor (another sign he is ill) - done
- Keep to calories and log food (have managed 2 days so far!)
- Ring my nan to wish her happy birthday - done
- Moved money from paypal to cover postage on ebay sale - done
- Make soup
- Put bread on
- Debate use of doing a new SOA
Right, that's me I think. Have a good one all

nearly done all my jobs for the day! Just having a brew then going to clean kitchen and make some sandwiches for ds1 and get everything ready for the morning! Then a nice hot bath and pjs! Little one isn't going to bed well anymore, it's really stressful and means I'm not getting free time til much later on! also means later bedtime as I'm so shattered from trying to get her to sleep I'm doing my evening jobs at the pace of a snail. Jobs I can't to in the day as she's so active!
