My youngest DD always looks surprised when she is revising Latin and I point out similar roots in German or French etc.
Youngest has gone out for lunch so me and DH are enjoying quiet time and might go out for a walk together later. Middle DD might be popping home for tea and giving me a lift to Oldest in hospital tonight.
Had a long day yesterday as had to take to buses to hospital for a meeting and I got on the wrong bus as I was so flustered  We finally got ourselves on another bus that got us there in time. After a lot of discussion it looks as if oldest DD will be getting the treatment and help she needs and which we cannot provide on our own.
DH was so shattered he fell asleep in his recliner when we got back and then did not sleep that well at night.
Looks as if we will be a fairly full house at the weekend as three DDs and SIL will be here so will need to stock up on bread, milk, bacon etc etc.
Have a load of dry laundry to sort and want to have a quick shower and shampoo so hugs to all and see you later.
No idea what to cook tonight but fancy the idea of fish pie and if youngest hates the idea she can have an omelette, toastie or salad."This site is addictive!"

Lovely here today and the wind isn't as fierce.
Not much doing here today apart from DH taking me shopping so that I have plenty of stuff for the weekend, Aldi is going to be a nightmare tomorrow  I will get the veg on the market on Saturday.
Besides it is my Birthday tomorrow and I don't want to spend it in a supermarket!
DH is taking me out somewhere which I am looking forward to.
He has Friday and Monday off which will be great. He was supposed to have a week's holiday, but he has too much to do and workmen in and out all of the time, so he will take it at half term instead, they already owe him days as it is  DS has been brilliant and has gone down every day with him so I will bung him a few squid next week.
It is his 21st in May, Oh my where do the years go

Trekked to Oban. Tickets were fir yesterday. I am, officially, a blithering idiot. Luckily they let us join a tour anyway and at no extra charge. Well done them.

Afternoon all,
Sunny but still very windy here today. Didn't get any washing done as I went into town instead this morning.
It was last day of term for me today and I am looking forward to a little lie in tomorrow. Doubt I'll get it though as my body likes me to wake up about half six even at the weekends!
New sofa is due tomorrow between 12 and 7 so that should be good fun. Even more fun will be me and DH later trying to get the old 2 and 3 seaters down the stairs! I remember when they were delivered it was hard enough for the delivery men, but now it has spread I suspect it won't go down! The joys of town house living
Getting excited for DD's hen weekend in London, only mar on the whole thing is Southeastern trains aren't running on my line for any of the four Easter days so I have to go ten miles away to get a train. I have a feeling it might be bedlam...0 -
Afternoon all. I'm late joining in today but won't bore you with a list of all the setbacks - suffice to say it has involved THREE trips into town sorting stuff out!!! It's another rubbish day too weatherwise - not quite as wild as yesterday but bad enough, with numerous heavy showers. I am so fed up of being wet and cold, this winter has been endless.
It's my monthly girls night out tonight and am I ready for a relaxing meal, copious glasses of wine and a good old natter (and maybe a moan!) and then I might forget the stressful week it's been with one thing and another! Doing Mr TA some salmon for his tea as a treat for abandoning him!
ELONA glad something is getting sorted out to help your DD. CSARINA sorry about the news on your friend. TRU I love your stories of Scampi. We so miss having a dog but after our last one died we decided it would be silly to get another at our advancing age and be unable to exercise it properly.
Take care all xx"If you dream alone it will remain just a dream. But if we all dream together it will become reality"0
