Are 1st property lawyers on Natwest's panel?

My husband and I are buying a 2 bedroom flat and when we first instructed 1st property lawyers, we were told they were on all major UK lenders' panels. Our mortgage broker has emailed today to say that they don't seem to be on Natwest's approved list. I have emailed our conveyancer to confirm this. If it turns out to be true, what should we do? We have already paid for searches. Should we just pick a new solicitor that is on their panel or should we pay for dual representation, with Natwest appointing their own approved solicitor.

Any advice is greatly appreciated as we are FTB.

My Advice: Don't use them. Use a decent local firm of solicitors. you will get better service.

The service has actually been pretty good so far. As we've already paid for searches we'd like to stick to them if possible.

The person buying my daughters house had to change solicitors part way through because his solicitor wasnt on his lenders list, although some people dont agree with me, i think its good to have local solicitor so you can pop in any time with paperwork.

1st property lawyers are a trading style of Premier Property Lawyers.

    PPL are on Natwest's panel.
