How easy to switch ISP providers?

If the OP already has their line rental with BT, then they are not on a TT LLU service. So switching to Plusnet is a straightforward process. Even LLU back to BT is usually not an issue. It's LLU to LLU that causes the problems. For example, TT LLU to Sky LLU.

and it usually has to be done by a "return to donor" process, where the line has to go back to BT first, often with a min line rental contract (used to be 12 months) before being able to go to the new LLU provider....bloody stupid system :mad:

Thanks for your replies to date. I think I'll give PlusNet a ring and see if they operate in my area, Belfast.


As a matter of interest what's the view on local suppliers like UTV, that's our ITV service.
