Is it not the case that in London pavement parking is allowed but only where marked and signed? So being the case if you do it where it is not regulated you will get nicked.

Whereas in other areas it is down to discretion of the CEO/Police officer.

My own view is that, legal or otherwise, it is antisocial, causing inconvenience to both other vehicle and pedestrians. .
You never know how far you can go until you go too far.

Its has been an offence for yonks, a nice earner for some councils like Lambeth who will ticket for 1/4 of a wheel on the pavement, even when the pavement is so shallow you dont notice.

How does it inconvenience other vehicles?

Because TD has said it does! :)
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

In Birmingham, everyone parks on the pavement, there is nowhere else as often the roads are too narrow to park on but the pavements are big enough to park a juggernaut.
