Where Sky offer you the opportunity to get out of your contract free due the new Ofcom clearer calling/ access charge ruling.

So if Sky are forced to offer you a way out. I assume that other providers will also have to.

Interesting that Sky present this as a price rise.

Ofcom's changes impose no specific price rises or price cuts.

The measures are all about price transparency.

I have sky tel & BB on one contract till August and tv on a separate contract till July.
I got the increased access telephone number's letter and called up just over a week ago to cancel my telephone contract as it stated in letter "If you're not happy with this access charge, you can cancel your Sky Communication Products. If you want to leave and you are within your minimum contract period, you'll need to call us within 30 days of receiving this letter to avoid incurring early termination charges."

I got extremely angry as the operator refused to allow me to cancel without facing termination charges. He said I could not cancel the telephone without cancelling the Broadband to which I said "that's fine, I'll cancel both then".

BUT, the op says, I will then face termination charges for cancelling my BB early.

I'm not sure which way to go with this, because it is the principle of the matter. I'll try a quick written letter of complaint first I think. Anyone know best address to complain to? I can only ever find telephone numbers on Sky site!
I have gained from advice as well as bargains here, so if I can help in any way, I am only too pleased to do so and appreciate your thanks.
