Hello all, before i start my punctuation and typying skills are not up to any good standard please do not hold that against me).
i went to my Natwest branch on friday just gone, i asked them to close my savings account down and my current account as i do not need there product anymore and that i think i was missold the account. the lady at the bank told me that she could cancel my savings account but not my silver account as there was charges to be paid. i asked her to look at the account and see that my account was in balance and i wanted to close it, she told me that because there was up and coming charges that it will cost me £20 + to close the account. i asked why and she said there was charges to pay for account coming out soon and if i didnt pay there charges would increase. when i asked her to downgrade my account she said there was not anyone in the branch capable of doing so. Now my account is overdrawn and i can see it increasing unless i pay for something i do not want. what can i do? thanks for you time and help.
