You should go. You may get the sympathy vote. Worked for me once, I struggled through an interview with a really heavy cold - sneezing, choughing, struggling to breathe. Worst interview performance ever, even spent long minutes staring out of the window in silence trying to think of an answer to the interviewer's questions. I got the job (though whether through the sympathy vote or because the other candidates were even worse then me I'll never know!).£2 Savers Club 2016 #21 £14/£250

I would agree. The OP *might* be seen as a risk to sickness. OP: If it is at all possible could you dose yourself and try to get in?

Dose yourself up and attend. They may only be interviewing that one day anyway or may decide you aren't worth interviewing in the first place if you call off the interview due to sickness.0

Surely you would know that from the cv's or application forms?
You shortlist candidates and from there you get a feel for the candidates who tick the most boxes, if someone meets all your essential and desirable criteria, chances are they would make a good employee.
For all we know the OP may be that candidate, personally I'd reschedule if I thought they could be the best person for my post, and have done so previously.0 -

I think this is the key thing really. People have other stuff to do. When you're on an interview panel it's really not a big deal if one of the candidates can't make it. It happens all the time.0 -
We'll have to disagree on this one.Surely you would know that from the cv's or application forms?
You shortlist candidates and from there you get a feel for the candidates who tick the most boxes, if someone meets all your essential and desirable criteria, chances are they would make a good employee.

It's a bit of a gamble to assume from a hunch someone will be a sound employee. In my experience, the ones that look good on paper and fail to turn up are probably holier-than-thou narcissists that would make for terrible employee relations.
I would either continue interviewing or move forward the best clutch to date.0 -

For the OP, some will reschedule, some won't, don't think you are hurting your chances by asking, they can only say no.0
