Discreet/unobtrusive but excellent dash-cam

Having reviewed many sites for a dash-cam am getting so confused - I am looking for an excellent unit BUT would prefer it to be small and discreet for leaving (permanently if poss) behind the drivers mirror also (without a large mounting unit) any 'track proven' suggestions please ?

my dad just bought me this one, from coopers of stortford whoever they are... so far I am pleased with it..
Have it wired in and perm left next to mirror...

Thanks for this but am trying to avoid all the mess of a large hanging bracket etc etc when something maybe attached to rear of mirror as inobstrusively as possible.

0803 has its faults I would not buy one. 0805 for £5.99 extra has all these ironed out, is exactly the same size and width with a better lense and chipset with not even a 3rd of the common problems the 0803 has.


If the OP waits for just a little while the 0806 will come down in price and have some firmware updates to correct some firmware issues.

I have one and it measures 2 inches by 1 inch. It is attached between rear view mirror and screen and I have run the lead between the headline trim and screen to the cig lighter socket.


Because it is black like the mirror you don't see it unless you really go up close and peer in, even then reflections on the windscreen make it difficult to see.

I've recently bought an A118 / B40 - it's very discreet and I'm impressed so far. It cost about £37 from Aliexpress and another £6 or £7 for the bits to hardwire it.

I have the B40/A118 and that has great form factor.

Mine was from foxoffer - they have an Ebay shop but you can also order through their website.
