Sold this morning before we could even view
Told you it was good!0 -
it happens and another will come along believe me it will.
2 months ago we drove 100 miles to view a house only for it to be sold when we got there, 1 week later we drove back another 100 miles to view a new one on the market. We really liked it from the pictures on rightmove but soon as we pulled into the street we new we would not want to live there, we still viewed the house and it was not as we expected and didnt like it anyway. Was gutted but a few weeks later we found another house that ended up being better and in a nicer village, we are now waiting to exchange..0 -

Sorry to hear that.
We did view a house we thought was perfect and was very close to getting it before an offer a lot higher was put in. We were a bit down about it but then we viewed another house we had previously discounted from from the pictures, and loved it even more!
Something else will come along with it's own charm0 -

Oh dear - we had lots of promising ones like that, some the EA didn't even bother to tell us until we'd arrived for viewing and phoned them to ask why they hadn't turned up!
Still, as everyone else has said, better things always turn up. We viewed about 30/35 houses in 2 months (in a fast-moving area), and what we eventually bought we had to dash out from work at a lunchtime to view, because the EA said if you don't go today it will be sold. That had 6 asking price offers after the first bunch of viewings! You'll gain valuable experience by going through all the depressing, not appropriate viewings.
Good luck with your continuing search.0 -
I know how disappointed you must feel, but people are right, it really does all help with experience.
You now understand your market that bit better etc. The more prepared you are, the more confident you will be, putting in a strong offer quickly when you find the "one".
I recently put in an asking price offer within 2 minutes of a viewing (sale currently proceeding and fingers v crossed). We felt able to do that because we have been looking for a year and were totally confident in our choice.

Aww sorry it's gone
Hopefully you'll find something better or it might fall through! Just keep saving and at least if you don't find anything you'll be increasing your deposit.
