Oh heck, my latest problem....
I have sold 50 small bottles of nail art (polish) on eBay. Just been to the post office and I now know its prohibited
Does anyone know if there is a service that will send this please?
It weighs 2lb.
Also, if not, I will refund the money to the buyer, and how do I do that.
Many thanks

"Solvent-Based Paints and Inks - These are varnishes (including nail varnish), enamels and similar substances".Saving for Xmas 2015 #53 £50 / £365 :snow_laug0 -
AFAIK Royal Mail do allow nail varnish if you're posting to a UK address. It's just international that is prohibited.0

Royal Mail website: http://www.royalmail.com/help-and-support/tell-me-about-restricted-goods
says "Volume per item must not exceed 30ml. No more than four bottles of nail varnish can be sent in any one package. Bottles of nail varnish must be placed in strong outer packaging and be so packed, secured or cushioned in such a way that they cannot break, be punctured or leak their contents into the outer packaging.
An ID8000 label must be applied ( see example ID8000 label on link above). The sender’s name and return address must be clearly visible on the outer packaging."
So looks like you can only send it in smaller lots which will cost a bomb, unless the bottles are thin enough that you could send as large letter (max 25mm thick).0 -

why would the PO not accept it? Did they say? I have just been to the PO myself at lunch and sent my friend a parcel that also contained 4 nail varnishes plus a UV LED gel nail lamp. The PO asked what was inside and then stuck a label on of some description ( didnt actually see it what it had on the label)

Many couriers will accept shipments of dangerous goods from businesses but not from private individuals.
This is because the businesses concerned will have the correct materials and expertise for packaging these goods to the required standards, something that won't be the case with most private sellers.0
