Bodywork on A6

Hi everyone,
Not sure whether this is better posted on here or on the credit card section so apologies if it's in the wrong place!
I currently own a 2010 A6 avant 2.0TDi 177bhp (I say own, I took a car loan out which is paid for from my car cash allowance I receive). I have a number of scrapes on the bodywork from the concrete on the multi storey car park at work (when I moved back to the UK office it took me a while to get the correct turning point!). I had it priced up a while ago and was told £500 cash to get the work done, which I couldn't afford. I've now got a Santander 123 credit card with 0% interest free on purchases and a large credit limit. I've been thinking of getting the bodywork repaired and paying on the credit card with the view to pay it off at a fixed amount each month over 8 months (cleared by December).
Once the car is repaired bodywise, I am hoping to elect back into the company car scheme when I move up a grade (expected later this year) so that I don't have to budget for tyres, tax, MOT, insurance etc. and use the funds form private sale to clear off the outstanding balance on the company car loan.
What are people's thoughts on this? Is it worth getting the bodywork done now using the CC to fund so that I can sell as soon as possible when I get promoted?

I thought this post was about a wagon mudguard in the outside lane just beyond chorley ,0

Wont the bodywork have the same scrapes if using the M6 instead f the A6, or any road for that matter?
Sounds like you cannot afford to do it.
Save up the £500 or wait until your promotion comes through and then sort it.
One thing i have learned is that no job is ever 100% secure. I worked for a company that were proud that they had never laid anyone off and had been trading for over 100 years.
The owner had a sudden illness and passed the business onto his son, 3 months later the dad passed away and within weeks there were rumours that he was selling up to our competitor.
Over the space of a year it went to a shell staff and then to basically a storage unit until they closed it completely.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

So did I.0 -
Why not put the money that you would have paid the credit card each month aside?
Then if/when you get this new car, you will have the cash to get yours tidied up.
The bodyshop will likely charge more for using a credit card, and you can put a few more scratches on in the meantime too.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

If that was a cash price, then it's unlikely they'll take payment by plastic.0

Do you have any concerns about having it done by an Audi authorised body shop ?Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

Is it a BMW 335i A6?0

My fantasy A6 had its imagined damaged bodywork repaired by Mario + Lukas down at the drive in car wash.
A6's are sooo bullet proof that most imaginary damage simply polishes out with a damp cloth.0 -
You could repair it now, but will you have learned how to park the thing over the next 8 months while you're paying the repairs off or will you be back to quare one with a bashed Audi?0

Is this another DM thread? I thought he'd retired with his fantasy garage?0
