What's the problem with them opening? Why exactly do you want to complain about it?

Some people will find any reason to complain about something.

Good free advertising for the company, maybe OP has a financial interest.
    It's someone else's fault.

Local papers? Our local council prosecuted a business for repeatedly opening on Easter Sunday, so I guess it depends on the council.

This has to be a troll. Who in their right mind would contact the police to report a car sales room open on Easter sunday?

There is a practical issue with this (assuming that there isn't a general exemption for all car sales) which is the level playing field.

In other words, if other companies are losing trade because they are observing the law, then that would be wrong.

:DThank you so much for this information. I was wondering where on earth I could spend Easter Sunday this year, given that my local Sainsbury's will be closed. :D

Yes, how foolish, reporting a breach in the law to the police.

Do you think the police are incapable of prioritising workload?

I am not sure he would have wasted an police time, other than the 5 minutes on the phone call.
They will probably get round to doing something about it when they have solved all the murders, robberies, assaults and all other crimes they have to deal with.
