How to get rid of the smell of garlic from chopping board?

Options
Hi All,

Need some help on this one. A male friend cooked for me at the weekend in my house and used my wooden chopping board to cut garlic. Now I can't get rid of the smell it stinks! Also can't chop any fruit or salad stuff on it in case it then tastes of garlic!

Any ideas to get the smell out please?

Water or lemon juice, and then cover the stinky bits thickly and leave it for a couple of hours.

I have a separate small board for onions and garlic etc, just because I hat the thought of other stuff tasting garlicky!
