Heard down the grapevine that my ex-boss is going to refuse my holiday pay on absolut

Just heard from a girl I worked with who knows the accountant, apparently there is a metaphorical pot of money that is for staff holidays of whomever claims it, and when it isn't claimed at the end of the year it returns to the company as profit.
EDIT: I know this is hearsay, but it does fit in line with the general attitude of the management and the secrecy behind the Holiday Pay situation.0 -
Looks like you may have to go down the SCC route for the 2013 holiday pay.
I do hope you are encouraging your former workmates to follow suite and grab any unpaid holiday pay ?.Never Knowingly Understood.

After thinking about it, I'll just take the £950. But yes I am encouraging other employee's to grab what they are owed.0

Holiday pay is an accruing liability so any sensible accountant will be making provision for them.0 -

Can you explain that in layman's terms? Does it mean that the accountant should really be accounting for people claiming it AFTER the holiday year?
I've just this morning had two passive-aggressive phone calls from Ryan's personal mobile berating me for having the audacity of telling current employees of offending pub that they are entitled to Holiday and to ask for it. He told me I'll be getting paid in weekly increments starting from next week, and then informed me "Don't ever come to one of my !!!!in' pubs again, and don't even think about coming to me for a reference"
Hahah what a story.
He then rang me again to tell me that he will sort out money for anyone else that asks for it but they need to ask for it over email.
Again, a theory, this money that is accrued over the year as staff holiday is probably split as bonus to managers and owners of the pub. Because of my actions the pot may be significantly lighter as staff are now claiming what is rightfully theirs. Which is a fitting explanation as to why Chris and Ryan and co. are so upset about the whole thing.0
