PCN for parking in parent and child bay

I often shop on a lunch hour at ASDA Swindon. I received a PCN for £70 on the 27/03/15 saying I had a PCN fixed to my Vehicle on the 19/02/15. This came as a shock because I have not had anything fixed to my vehicle if I had then I would have resolved the issue there and then.
I do not recall ever parking in a P & C bay. And the time seems dubious 1358hrs as my lunch hours are between 12 and 2.and I work in Wooton Bassett so would have been late back which I never have been.
What do I do?
I refuse to pay £70 as the discount time expired because I never received a parking ticket in the first place and I cant see why I would park in a P&C bay as I never have before.
How do I tackle this situation? Is this legal? I am really upset by it all I just don't understand it.

Smart parking is it? Theyre not the sharpest pencils in the box. Have you seen any photographic evidence of your 'crime'?0 -
Easiest way is to simply appeal this as per the NEWBIES thread (see my signature), and add in an appeal point:
x) My vehicle has never received the noted windscreen PCN, primarily because it was not in that car park on that date at that time. My vehicle was with me in Wooton Bassett at 1400 that day; my vehicle is not a TARDIS therefore it is a physical impossibility for it to have been in Swindon at 1358. Your operative has noted down an incorrect vehicle registration mark.0
