Defaults erased from file

hello forum, I have a query for you. When I was younger I got myself into a bad situation financially and this resulted in a very poor credit score. However, with debts being erased permanently from a persons credit report after 6 years, about 90% of my debts will disappear over the next month, totalling £7500.
So my query is this, what happens to my credit rating with these major things no longer present and has anyone any tips on how to improve a credit rating, now I am financially sound and a reliable person I would like my credit report to reflect this and be able to lead a normal life.
Many thanks

The easiest and cheapest way to build a credit history is to use a card regularly and pay off in full each month.
There is no need to pay interest.
In addition of course, you need to be on the electoral role, check financial associations, ensure your files are accurate and so on.0
