CREDIT CARD TERMINALS/PDQs

I currently rent a Barclaycard credit card/e-top terminal, but missed a bit in the small print, whcih stated that if I didn't do £100 per week by month 4 in e-tops, my contract would be reviewed.

Currently Rental is £5/month increasing to £20/month
Card charges 12p for switch/visa, increasing to 18p
and for visa/mastercard from 1.35% to a shocking 4.35%

I feel this increase is Over The Top.

Has anybody any tips or suggestions to save on terminal rental and transaction charges

Thanks

Not exactly sure what e-tops are but sounds like you need to increase the amount of card transactions.

    2 ideas:

    1) Encourage your customers to use cards rather than cash.

    2) Use your own card and give yourself cashback?

If you think the contract terms are unfair then you could complain, but the terminal presumable costs a lot of money and if you aren't using it enough then the bank has to get its money back somehow.
Smile :), it makes people wonder what you have been up to.

E-Topups are mobile phone top ups. We already offer customers 5% discount in order to increase this.

Spending myself defeats the object really
