PIP Appeal?

Options
Hello,

I've sent my PIP appeal form off on the 21st, was just wondering what happens now. Am I supposed to get a confirmation letter from HMCTS saying they have received my appeal sheet, or am I suppose to wait for DWP to send all evidence they used to make a decision.

Thank you.

What stage you're at is unclear.
Firstly, you must complete a mandatory reconsideration by the DWP - you cannot directly appeal to the tribunal.

Then the DWP consider this, and if they refuse, send a 'mandatory reconsideration notice' saying no.
You send this - along with a letter saying you want to appeal - to the tribunal - along perhaps with any other evidence you have.

The DWP then respond to the tribunal and send their appeal bundle which contains all of their case why you don't deserve it.
Some time later, either on paper or in person, the appeal is heard.
In-person appeals have better prospects for the claimant.
