PCN on private land in LIDL

Hi,
I did receive a letter on 29/11/2014 named Notice to Owner from Parking Collection Services.
Apparently, I did park in LIDL car park for more than legal limit of 1h the say, but I am certain the only time I visited LIDL that month I stayed no longer than 20-30 min. I did see parking warden taking picture of my car and then running away when he saw me coming.
They say I ignored ticket on windscreen or letter send to my home address, so therefore I have to pay £125.
I requested a prove and they did send pictures of my car with fine ticket on wind screen, but when i came to the car it wasn't there at the time.
I ignored two letters (first received on 24/02-demand for payment of an unpaid charge £150 and second received on 11/03/15-notice of intended court action-unpaid parking charge £150 ) from Debt Recovery Plus Ltd. They say my file will be passed over to creditor's solicitor with recommendation to commence court action against me.
I have read that all of this is nothing else but a scam and the best thing is to ignore their letters.
What would you suggest I do?
Thanks
Solaitis

If you go to the "Parking Tickets" sub-forum of the Motoring board, the sticky is at the top of the list.
In a nutshell - if this happened in Scotland, then simply ignore everything you receive from the parking company. Elsewhere in the UK, you need to submit an appeal, detailed instructions are in the sticky thread.0 -
typo. take off the first 4 letters from that link. Then works fine.0

Lidl also allow extortion at their Clapham store where you are fined £45/£90 for not buying anything !
90 mins parking is only free if you inform the cashier of your vehicle registration - so they attempt to extort a postal fine if their advertised products are ; sold out (frequent), not as described, or the check-out queues simply ridiculously too long (frequent).0 -
Just leave a note of your registration with them as you go in.Lidl also allow extortion at their Clapham store where you are fined £45/£90 for not buying anything !

Thanks but.....the entrance and exit are segregated at this store - for reasons best known to LIDL, besides you don't initially know you wont be purchasing anything until you've browsed !
I suppose if people know of this trap they could take pen and paper to notify of their details, and then take a picture to prove they submitted them !
What a world we are forced to live in !0 -
Who is this "them" we are supposed to leave it with? There is no customer services desk, and there are rarely any other staff around apart from the already busy checkout staff. Remember, LIDL themselves are part of this scam, as they trouser the cash themselves, so they have no real interest in making it easy for people to escape their cynical trap.Just leave a note of your registration with them as you go in.0 -
If anyone was told they had to buy something or pay a fine it would be extortion in any country in the world. I can understand that people can leave their license plate number and that you could just buy something small but why should we have to. Sitting in those long lines actually means we are taking the parking space for longer which is contrary to what they say they are trying to achieve. Surely there are more logical customer-centric policies? Other stores have a simple policy - free parking for a short time after which you need to have proof of a purchase. BY then you will know if you wish to purchase at least one item - simple. But to be told that you cannot know what items are available (Lidl gets a fairly random selection in my experience) but that you have to buy something or get a fine is extortion, plain and simple.
And more than this, why after all the taxes we pay does someone in the government or prosecuting authority not clamp down on this. I realise its a civil matter but the fact it potentially affects everyone means it's scope surely warrants some intervention?0
