Is their online application process easy for a joint account ? If I open a joint and an individual account is it better to do the joint first or the sole ?
Sorry if it sounds a bit thick but it's been years since I opened any other account than savings .

we opened our accounts at the branch , the staff were very helpful and set everything up online for us and made it a breeze , same at the t.s.b & lloyds , so ring for appointment & take the usual necessary identification papers , we were lucky to open 4 123 accounts ,before the t&c were changed, as far as which account first , do them all at once.
on the requirements of d debits , one tip is to seperate your gas & electric dd so makeing two.0 -
We have opened a joint a/c and a single a/c. Remember you cannot transfer the £500 per month required from another Santander a/c. We transfer it backwards and forwards between a Natwest a/c my wife has. The direct debits we used for the 2nd a/c are for small amounts to charities we support. We have had about £800 in cash back and interest since we opened them. Worth it or what?0

Should have mentioned we did it all on line. Easy. Usual ID checks if memory serves me.0
