Best rewards card?

What's the best rewards card for me?
Looking to get the most back for the usual regular spends for food shopping, petrol etc. I'm not loyal to any particular store or petrol brand as I shop around for bargains!
Ideally looking to make the most I can claim back in either cash or vouchers to spend at popular places - Amazon, Love2Shop etc.
My current account is with Nationwide and I don't want to move banks as the benefits on that account work out best for my circumstances.

Here I go again on my own....

my first thought is to go for Cashback rather than Rewards.. and go for an Amex Cashback card. great service and best rates available. and very few retailers don't take Amex nowadays, ime.0

In the long run and on all shopping you hardly can get more than 0.5% currently.
Santander 123 CC is worth checking that pays up to 3%, but it costs £24 p.a.0 -
i get up to 1.5% ongoing from Amex, but admittedly those terms aren't available now, and i do spend hard with my card..
the annual 2.5% on the currently-available account is a nice perk on the anniversary:)
"Get 5% cashback on up to £2,500 of purchases in your first 3 months of Cardmembership1
Earn 2.5% cashback on all purchases for one month every year if you spend more than £10,001 in your previous 12 months of Cardmembership2
An ongoing 1.25% cashback on virtually every full pound you spend3"0 -
Tarting your spend around every 6 months is probably the best approach.
BA Amex Avios. Then refer your partner for one. 2 x free (£35) return flights.
Hilton card x 2. Free hotel nights.
Close accounts. Reopen a year or two later. Repeat rewards.
Some of the other Amex cards used smartly can be very profitable with a bigger spend than mine.0
