Car insurance help

Does anyone know of any car insurance companies that don't double the price of insurance if a driver has been on an driver awareness course in the last 5 years please?

thanks

I can't think of any that ask about it.

Perhaps we have just been unlucky going through the process with the few that do! they put the question right at the end of the online form too....back to the drawing board...

    Which ones?

The only ones I'm aware of that ask are the Admiral group of companies.

Yes, perhaps it was within the admiral group. Have managed to find a few now that don't ask about it, so many thanks all

As above OP, there is no way that an insurance company could find out if you have attended a course unless you offer the information to them.

As usual at this time of year I've been doing a trawl through all the companies over the last couple of weeks as my insurance was up for renewal today.

I didn't see any questions about speed awareness courses at all.

For what it's worth Allianz came out best for my particular set of circumstances this year - last year it was Aviva.

Everyone is different and there is no one company this will be best for everyone.

Beware the cheapest companies as they may not be the cheapest in the long run.

Check especially for European cover as you may just have the legal minimum and/or be restricted to ho many days out of the UK.

Several have introduced new excesses for windscreen replacement this year and windscreen repairs are no longer free with some companies now.

Don't get caught out - as any savings may be lost with one broken screen - or one trip to France.

I check them all every year and change around as it suits me - any reward for loyalty to one company went out the window years ago.
