Without seeing the car I couldn't tell you.
The points which don't state that, such as the "bulkhead" or "fuel filler" are advisories.
But draw a 30cm radius from every prescribed point onto the floorpan of something small like a Ka, and there's not a lot left.0 -

But bearing in mind all the fail points listed state they are within 30cm of "body mountings", which IS a prescribed area...

But a Ka doesn't have 'body mountings' so it's the wrong RfR.
Just because a floorpan has a hole within 30cm of, say, a seatbelt mounting point doesn't mean it's necessarily a fail. The manual says the prescribed area is:-
"any load bearing or supporting structure or supporting panelling within 30cm of the mounting location"
The floor pan is very rarely supporting panelling, you could remove most without affecting the car's strength.0 -
Where as I had a 51 plate Ka that had done 131K miles, had no welding, no real problems, was a great drive, albeit noisy!
Traded it in, although was honest about the 131 miles as the clock didn't have enough digits so it looked like it had done just 31K. The guy even wrote that before I corrected him!
31K miles, in less than 15 years, in the "used" condition it looked like? Hardly :P
However, no corrosion around the fuel cap like so many others...0 -

Is the testing station, by chance, also a tyre fitting company?
It is actually! I've said to them before I think a tyre or brakes are dodgy and they've told me they're fine so tend to trust them (as much as I can trust any garage!)
As I said I have no idea about cars so rely on "experts" to tell me what's needed.
On the plus side she got a C3 on Tuesday and is thrilled with it :-)0
