Hi there,
Wondering if anyone can help,
I currently have a HL vantage ISA which I have been paying in to this year. I want to leave it as is and not transfer but im keen to open a new ISA with Cavendish for the coming year.
Question is do I need to wait until the new tax year before I can open the ISA with Cavendish or can I open it today?
Thanks in advance

You can open a new Isa account, but you cannot add any money to it as you have already been subscribing to one in this tax year.
The good thing is that you really don't have long to wait.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.

When did you make your last deposit into your Vantage?
Assuming you paid into your Vantage since April 6 2014, you can open an ISA with Cavendish today but you cannot make any deposits into it until April 6. In this case, if you have unused 2014-15 allowance that you wish to use, you could pay it into a cash ISA and then ask Cavendish to transfer it for you.
If your last payment into the Vantage was before April 6 2014, you can make deposits into your new Cavendish ISA today.0 -
