Tesco Hijackacking RBS ATMs

If you have an account with bank A and a problem arises with a different bank's cash machine it is your own bank's job to sort the problem. Nobody else has access to your account to check the facts. No amount of wishful thinking on your part will change this.0

All my local cash machines that are either on the property of Tesco Express or Tesco Superstores, or any Tesco stores for that matter, im sure they all say they are operated by RBS.0

op - did you intend to spell your user name as it appears?
'there'? 'their'?
So, wherever a cash machine 'goes wrong', that host is responsible?

Look at this

Excerpt from it:
If I have a problem with a cash machine that isn't operated by my bank, what do I do?
Irrespective of who owns the cash machine, or where it is located, it is your bank that will be able to follow up any disputes that you may have with a particular ATM.What is this life if, full of care, we have no time to stand and stare0 -
I've been to my local Tesco Extra (in Toton, Nottingham) and above the ATMs there it says "Tesco Bank".
On the ATMs themselves it has the RBS branding as well as "Cashline" which is what RBS call their ATMs.It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.0 -

Yeah but applying to you. Have you not had a look at Tesco Bank?

Here's the ways to bank link. Notice they don't have any branches. So why are you going into a grocery store that has nothing to with with the banking division asking them to sort a banking problem out? Especially when a notice is put on the machine saying they are the property of RBS or whichever bank and to contact them for problems. Don't even try to tell me it doesn't have this notice because I know they all have!0 -

So what you have is Tesco advertising these cash machines under TESCO BANK but when problems arise they simply absolve themselves and pass the buck onto RBS,
The words ' eat it' and 'Cake' come to mind.
What do you want exactly ? There aren't 2 banks involved with these cash machines, just one, the one that maintains it and fills it every day, thats RBS, Tesco aren't passing the buck, they have no access to the machines, they just provide the housing for them.
What is your problem with Tesco advertising their bank on them ? The ATM's are on their property, they can advertise whatever they like. Bit of a non issue really isn't it ?0
