  • Definitely, contact the OR and go from there. Well done though - you've definitely done the hard bit already. Now you just need to do the official bit. x

    Hi,

I agree that you should contact the Insolvency Service, explain what you have told us and move on from there. Do you think that your income might be at risk of an IPA?

What debt doctor says. It is worth doing some reading around the subject to find out what the situation is. Obviously if it's likely you will get an IPA then it's nice to have a bit of an idea before you talk to the OR and have it sprung on you. Due to not co-operating with the official receiver I *think* they can extend the period of restrictions upon you, but this may depend upon the circumstances, and to be honest the restrictions are not likely to be too onerous anyway - things like not being discharged quickly, having to declare you are bankrupt if trying to borrow over a certain sum of money etc.
Your best bet is to be reverent, apologize, explain you had issues and you're now keen to rectify things and move on.
To be honest, given what you say you've been through, it's going to be more a case of formalizing everything. It's not going to be any worse than what you've been through/put yourself through already.
