Will Mr Pickles retain his Job?
Will the new, albeit from mostly the same source Government pick up on this, or will it be forgotten?

    Hey team

This link from the Prankster's webblog to the RAC Foundation paper is a good read as it logically lays out the whole scenario. Jo Abbott of the RAC Foundation writes an Overview of parking in England and Wales and John de Waal QC gives the legal arguments: http://www.racfoundation.org/assets/rac_foundation/content/downloadables/RACF_Private_Parking_Public_Concern_John_de_Waal_Jo_Abbott_February_2015.pdf.

This is a must for everyone who intends to fight the good fight!

I am not nearly as JonnyRotten as I was yesterday but am still pretty unhappy!
Do not pay and let them get their way!

    Breaking news from the BBC:-

Eric Pickles has been dropped as communities and local government secretary. He's replaced by Greg Clark.

    Just completed it.

Mentioned IPC and anonymous assessors etc.

Airport approach roads - stopping is not parking and does not improve security and not relevant land POFA 2012, breach of KADOE contract.

ANPR cameras only recording entry/exit times not parking time and not managing abuse of car park spaces (I know blue badge does not apply on private land but those spaces are provided for a purpose). Should not be used at hospitals - how do know how long you are going to be?

    Grace periods not being observed.

Level of "fines" nearly all the same when all car parks are unique - i.e inventing losses.

Parking Charge Notices impersonating Council/Police PCNs.

    Dodgy/misleading/unlit signage.

Ticket machines not registering but not rejecting coins and, therefore, issuing tickets for less time than paid for.

Not mitigating losses if people leave the site.

Unnecessary PPC's at out of town retail sites with limited free parking, half empty car parks and nowhere else to go.

Reducing free parking in breach of planning permission and no permission for cameras/poles.

Anything I could think of really but wish I had remembered more.

Might get hubby to have a go with the things I forgot. Must read Prankster's list first.

@DD - excellent list. Would be a great reference point for anyone trying to make a start on completing this.
Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
